1.Installation plan for electric chain hoist
(1). Preliminary preparation
·Qualifications and personnel
·The installation unit must hold a "Special Equipment Installation, Modification and Maintenance License" (Crane Machinery Category).
·Operators must hold certificates: crane operator, electrician, welder (if required welding).
·Technical documents
·Manufacturer's instructions, electrical drawings, and hoist dimensions.
·Prepare the "Installation and Construction Plan" (including the hoisting and emergency plan).
·Site survey
·Bearing point verification: Confirm that the bearing capacity of the suspension point (I-beam/hanger) is ≥4 times (rated load + hoist deadweight), and provide a structural calculation book.
·Space inspection: Ensure that there are no obstacles in the chain lifting path, and the operating radius is ≥2 meters safe distance.
(2). Installation process
① Suspension point installation
The horizontal error of the I-beam track is ≤1/1000, and the mid-span deflection is ≤1/500 span. Fix the bolts to prevent loosening (double nuts or spring washers).
② Main body hoisting
Use an auxiliary crane to hoist smoothly to avoid collision. Ensure that the clearance between the wheels of the trolley and the track is ≤3mm.
③ Chain management
The chain must be able to enter the chain storage bag safely. It must be ensured that the chain can enter and exit unimpeded even when unloaded. The size of the chain storage bag must be sufficient to safely accommodate the entire chain. The end of the loosened chain must be firmly on the chain hoist.
④ Electrical wiring
The cross-section of the power cord ≥ the requirements of the manual (e.g. 3x2.5mm²+grounding wire). Grounding resistance ≤4Ω, control handle emergency stop button function test.
⑤ Safety device
Upper limiter: power off when the hook is adjusted to 200mm from the limit position. Load limiter (optional): calibrated to 110% rated load alarm.
(3). Commissioning and acceptance No-load test:
Lift/travel 3 times throughout the entire process, the chain has no jamming or abnormal sound.
Braking slippage ≤80mm (rated load below 1 ton). Load test:
Static load: 1.25 times the rated load hovers for 10 minutes, and the structure has no deformation. Dynamic load: 1.1 times load lifting and lowering 10 times, the brake has no failure.
Document transfer:
Supervision and inspection qualified report.
Sign the "Installation Acceptance Form" and keep it on file for future reference.
2.Precautions for safe use
(1). Operation specifications
Prohibited behaviors:
Overload, oblique pulling, dragging heavy objects on the ground. Forced lifting and lowering when the chain is twisted and knotted.
Adjust the chain or hook position directly by hand. Environmental requirements:
Temperature: -20°C~+40°℃, humidity ≤85%. Avoid flammable, explosive, and corrosive gas environments.
(2). Daily inspection points Chain
No cracks, or wear (chain ring diameter wear ≤10%). Stop and unwind immediately when twisted. Hook
Rotates flexibly, and the anti-unhooking spring is effective. The opening deformation ≥10% or cracks will be scrapped. Brake
When the hook slides down ≤100mm when unloaded, otherwise adjust the friction plate. Control handle
The button label is clear, and the emergency stop button is powered off within 0.5 seconds.
3.Key inspections for on-site construction
Items that must be inspected before daily operations
(1). Chain state deformation, twisting
(2). Hook and anti-drop device
Rotate flexibly, no broken spring
(3). Upper limiter function
Power off after triggering, and the hook stops rising
(4). Control handle emergency stop test
Power off immediately after pressing
(5). Walking track obstacles
No debris, oil stains
(6). Structural suspension
Bolts are not loose, I-beams are not deformed
(7). Electrical circuits
No exposed, broken skin, reliable grounding
4.Maintenance
Monthly:
Immerse the chain in lubricating oil for maintenance and remove dust. Visually check that the chain is not deformed or cracked and that the hook is not deformed and can rotate smoothly.
Quarterly:
Visually check that the main engine housing is not cracked, and the screws are not loose or missing. Calibrate the load limiter (if any).
Annual:
Commission a professional organization to conduct a comprehensive inspection. Replace the chain/hook that exceeds the wear standard.
5.Accident Emergency Plan
(1). Chain break:
Immediately evacuate personnel and seal off the site.
Check the cause of the break (overload/wear/defect).
(2). Brake failure:
Enable the emergency load release device (if any), otherwise, use obstacles to buffer the load from falling to the ground.
(3). Electric shock treatment:
Cut off the power supply, use an insulating rod to remove the wire, and the rescuer wears insulating gloves.
Warning:
Unlicensed operation is strictly prohibited! Those who have not obtained the "Special Equipment Operator Certificate" are forbidden to use the hoist. Overload = suicide! The chain hoist has no buffering mechanism and would easily be broken instantly when overloaded.
This plan strictly follows the GB 6067.1-2010 "Safety Regulations for Hoisting Machinery" and JB/T 5317-2016 "Electric Chain Hoist" standards. Please implement it in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual. Operation procedures and risk warning signs must be posted on-site, and safety training must be organized regularly.
